A Cooking Class in Thailand

We both really enjoy cooking (My partner and I). We thought it would be a great idea to try a Thai cooking class whilst on our travels in Thailand.  We  did a bit of research online and on Trip Advisor (the best website ever for travelling), and found Phuket Thai Cookery School . 

We had the best day! They picked us up from out Hotel at 7:30 am ( too early, but worth it!). The first stop was the locals fresh food market in Phuket Town. Was such a good experience  having someone taking about the local foods.  The setting of the school was beach front. AMAZING. We cooked 5 thai dishes, and ate each one. I have to say I was very very full by the end of it. It was worth it though. The Thai teachers are VERY good. They spoke English very well, and had us laughing with their humour all day.

Holidays!!!

So I am on holidays… I packed my camera, my laptop, my phone. All the things I need to have on holidays, so that I do a little bit of work. But so far, its been all play, no work. I’m loving it. Time off. It is definably over due. After working like a mad woman for the last 12 months, this is what I was in need of. A trip to the sunshine and heat of Thailand. Away from that miserable winter turning Melbourne.

It was a long 16 hour transit from Melbourne to Phuket. A 6 hour stop over at Kuala Lumpur airport. A stop over I will never do again. After a little bit of food poisoning (from home), a terrible migraine, a 6 hour stop over is not what I needed. I sat in one of those massage chairs, trying to relive the neck aches & migraine from not not sleeping.

Then it was all good.  Some sunshine, cocktails, massages, nice resorts.  Beach, good food, more sunshine, more good food. I love this holiday thing. I should do this more often.

The long weekend, new products and a photo special

The long weekend is here! So exciting! 4 days to recuperate , relax a little and catch up on editing some pics. As well as do a few preggy belly shoots!  I started the day by looking at old photo shoots I had done. Its nice to look back. Here is an old shot that I love.

 

I have also ordered a new wedding album from a new supplier. I cant wait to get it! Its going to be a beautiful album.  It should be here in about 2 weeks. I will update my website with my new products as soon as it arrives!

Walter – watching the rain

This is my Walter. He is the cutest puppy in the world! (of course I would say that….)

Its a cold, windy rainy day in Melbourne today. And when I got home, Walter was just watching the rain through the window. I love being able to pick up my camera randomly to snap a beautiful picture.

Photo Booth Hire – Fun at a friends wedding.

So here it is. My digital photobooth. Something that I now offer as one of my photography services.  Here is a link to a very good friends wedding. I had so much fun, and so did all the wedding guests.

I love the funky backdrop. It different and its fun.

I am going to hire the booth out. It could be used for any type of event. Corporate, Weddings, Parties, Engagements, Kids parties, the list is endless. It a full digital photobooth, which means that you watch the images come through as I take them, and you receive them on a DVD. All high resolution. Its basically a professional studio set up, at your party!!

A Delightful Intimate Wedding /// 21-12-2012

Georgia & Mark 21-12-2012

This was such a lovely intimate wedding. I spent about 2 hours with this lovely couple on their wedding day. There was lots of laughter, love, photo bombing (by their closest friends) & fun.  The registry office didn’t have the connection for the new iPhone, Malcom (Georgias dad), totally improvised and created a speaker out of a plastic cup. I loved it!  I have to say that this was one of the most relaxed weddings I have attended, I really enjoyed spending the time with Georgia & Mark and capturing their day.

    

Janelle & Andrew – A Melbourne Engagement Shoot

I had the pleasure of photographing an engagement shoot for Janelle & Andrew. Sweet Couple. We spent a few hours together, starting with a  drive to Alowyn Gardens ( http://www.alowyngardens.com.au/) in the Yarra Valley, we then wandered through the gardens taking lots of pretty pictures.  Alowyn Gardens is such a beautiful location to use.

Ok, so these little girls are so so sweet. No wonder though, their mum and dad are such lovely people. I photographed Ava, the eldest girl when she was just born. I haven’t seen her since that. During the shoot she kept asking me “when can I see you again nicky?”…. it was so cute.  I love these photos.
